Hi! My name is Bridget Hill and I started my journey at Holy Cross Lutheran Academy in August 2020. Yes, right in the middle of a pandemic! My heart was heavy for the children not going to school and I knew I had to be a part of the solution. I am loving this school, the staff, and the caring and supportive environment I get to be a part of. #loveholycross!
I attended University of Nebraska at Omaha with a major in Elementary Education and a minor in Early Childhood Education. I started my career teaching second grade and then took a nice long break to be a stay at home mom (which I absolutely loved!). I slowly got back into teaching by substituting K-6th, teaching an Intervention Program 1st-6th, and teaching fourth grade before I landed at Holy Cross.
I have been married since 1999 and love my two teenage daughters to the moon and back! We moved to Rocklin 12 years ago from Iowa, my home state, and I go back to visit family every chance I can get! During my free time you will find me woodworking, at the lake, hiking, at church or watching football.
Kindergarten is a time of tremendous growth! Children at this age are like little sponges soaking in everything they see and hear. And I get to provide a rich educational foundation for these eager learners, ready to excel in their next school years. This is a time of distinguishing letter sounds and building a solid foundation in math concepts. They work on friendships and exploring the world around them. I get to see them progress rapidly throughout the year and blossom into well-rounded students. I find it pure joy to be part of their journey!
“This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9
