SPARK, Music, and Library

Why We Love SPARK, Music, and Library

Holy Cross Lutheran Academy offers many extracurricular activities during your child's school day. These activities include:

  • Music
    • Music occurs once a week (Tuesday or Thursdays) with our music and library teacher Ms. Pat. Children are introduced to a variety of instruments such as piano, violin, and the bagpipes through special guest visitors and have the opportunity each week to learn songs that accompany Ms. Pat's piano playing. Older students begin to learn about keeping time and how to read music.
  • Library
    •  â€‹Library occurs once a week (Tuesday or Thursday) with our music and library teacher Ms. Pat. During library children get to listen to a variety of stories that allow them to participate with their bodies and words to act the story out. Older children get the opportunity to perform in a play at the end of the year.
  • SPARK

    • SPARK is our physical education program that occurs on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. During SPARK we focus on developing fine and gross motor skills, tracking skills, crossing the mid-line, building self confidence, and learning how we can keep our bodies happy and healthy. Some of our SPARK units include parachute, music and movement, balloons, bean bags, jump ropes, and more.
