At Holy Cross Lutheran Academy in Rocklin, CA, our kindergarten program teaches children to be independent, develop critical-thinking skills, and become productive individuals. We accomplish this by providing a curriculum that encourages children to discover their world through play and offering developmentally appropriate activities in a stimulating classroom setting facilitated by an experienced, credentialed teacher.
We provide differentiated instruction to meet each child’s unique needs. Our commitment to a class of 14 students enables us to provide more personalized attention. Our mission is to promote a safe learning atmosphere where children feel engaged and confident to reach their full potential.
Our kindergarten program utilizes a curriculum that adheres to the California content area standards for kindergarten. For more information on curriculum and standards for kindergarten, visit the official website of the California Department of Education.
In addition to providing standards-based instruction, we believe it is crucial to provide children with opportunities to interact and socialize with their peers and engage in physical activities. It is our belief that children will improve their physical and mental capabilities through play, coupled with a strong academic foundation.
Our kindergarten students will have the opportunity to learn about technology through the use of iPads. Our kindergarten classroom features an iPad lab with a 1:2 computer/student ratio. We invite families to compare our program with other kindergarten programs, both public and private, in order to make the best possible decision for their children.

We offer year-round childcare solutions, as well as a summer enrichment program on either a part-time or full-time basis.
Our morning and afternoon enrichment program can be summed up in three words: nurturing, engaging, and fun! Available for children 2 years old through early elementary, children participate in everything from planned activities and music to art and science. Our morning and afternoon staff collaborate with one another to support, enrich, and enhance what students are learning in the classroom.
Summer enrichment programs take place from June through August and are offered for children ages 2 through 8. Continuing with our low teacher-to-student ratios, we provide individualized attention designed to stimulate higher levels of thinking, allowing children to develop the skills they need as they prepare to return to school in the fall. Additionally, we are able to focus on enrichment in a child’s area of struggle.
Our childcare services give parents the peace of mind that their little ones are safe and happy, while children love our programs because they get to spend more time playing with friends and having fun!
